Welcome to the World of High-End Running Apparel!

At Aerth, we have a strong perspective on sports clothing in general, and running attire in particular. For us, running clothes must be beautiful.

Beautiful by principle, first of all. We see no reason to dress like a sack just because we are going out for a run for an hour or two! Beautiful also because, by nature, what is well-designed and made from beautiful textile materials lasts longer. Beautiful, finally, simply because it is well-made, crafted by skilled artisans, and we love wearing running clothes that make us feel good.

Sensation is a fundamental ingredient at Aerth.

And if there's one thing we are convinced of at Aerth, as a high-end running brand, it's that for running enthusiasts, choosing quality running clothes is crucial to optimizing their performance and comfort. So, what are the Essentials of men's running apparel and women's running apparel?

We suggest starting with the running shorts. Because in our view, after choosing an excellent pair of running shoes (sometimes difficult, we admit!), running shorts are undoubtedly THE most important piece of the Runner's outfit.

Running Shorts: What Criteria to Prioritize?

Each men's running shorts or women's running shorts has unique features depending on usage and weather conditions.

Weather: In hot weather, running shorts must be light and breathable. To this end, we specifically choose anti-sweat fabrics. For example, the material of the Track Series Men's Shorts is not only incredibly light, but we have also equipped it with micro-perforations to accelerate moisture wicking. An essential piece in our men's running apparel collection, the Track Series Shorts are highly praised by our online customers and boutique resellers. For us at Aerth, it’s the satisfaction of a job well done!

For women runners, the Track Series Women's Shorts feature a light tight, ideal for jogging and fitness or yoga practices.

In colder seasons, integrated tights retain body heat while offering good support and extra protection. See, for example, the 2in1 shorts. This is especially true in the heart of winter unless you are from the "running pants team" (in which case, it’s right here).

Usage: Do you prefer shorts with or without an integrated liner? Or perhaps the question is with or without integrated tights? Do you need pockets for keys, for your phone?

Another crucial criterion, undoubtedly, is the material of the shorts.

What is most important to you: lightness, comfort, durability? If lightness prevails, the construction will be open or closed for more or less breathability. For comfort, more or less elastane is added to free movement while maintaining perfect support. Not to mention the water-repellent nature of the textile fibers, which means their ability to be waterproof to a certain extent.

And for durability, a completely different choice of material is required, such as that of the indestructible yet elegant Motion Shorts.

You see: running shorts are certainly THE piece of your running outfit that deserves all your attention.

Key points to keep in mind:

Breathability: Fabrics designed to allow maximum ventilation.

Lightness: Materials must be ultra-light for optimal comfort.

Functionality: It is often tricky to go out without keys and a phone. The ideal running shorts must at least include a hidden pocket for a key, another pocket for the phone, and drawstrings to optimize fit.

Once the (right) shorts are selected, we can focus on the most visible piece of the outfit, a true statement of style for the runner in particular and the athlete in general, the sports top.

Technical T-shirts and Polos, Essentials in Every Runner’s Wardrobe.

We hear some of you thinking: "why essential"? After all, one could run shirtless... Good point, but we are not in Sparta in the 5th century BC, in which case the shorts question would also be resolved... More seriously, apart from midsummer on a beach, going shirtless is not very pleasant and, in any case, especially in full heat, we do not recommend it.

What t-shirt to wear then?

In addition to protecting against UV rays, a good t-shirt should also help cool the body under a scorching sun. Prefer morning runs in summer. More pleasant because cooler, they will give you energy for the whole day. But we are talking here about choosing a good T-shirt or, why not, a running polo, decidedly more elegant.

Made from breathable and lightweight materials, our sports clothes are designed for optimal sweat wicking, preventing overheating and irritation. The shape of the technical fibers used in these clothes has been studied by our partners in Italy and Portugal to direct moisture away from the body and keep the skin dry even during intense efforts.

In summer, above 20-25°C, the Running Tee is the lightest t-shirt in our running apparel collection.

Between 15°C and 20°C, prefer the Stadium Tee or the Signature Tee.

Below 15°C down to 5°C, most of us will want to run in long sleeves, and the Winrun Tee will be the preferred t-shirt. Need more warmth and a running garment ready for winter? Check out the Premium Shell, ideal for really cool weather and the first frosts.

Key Points:

Comfort: the material used must be pleasant to wear. At Aerth, we place sensation very high in our criteria for choosing fabrics.

Durability: soft to wear, the fabric must still be resistant to abrasion and frequent washing (always at 30°).

Versatility: to avoid multiplying clothes in your wardrobe, which is neither good for the budget nor the planet, it’s better to choose a model suitable for different types of runs, from jogging to marathons.
